It holds and applies better than Masters to me. It is a little messier on my hands. That could be because I chalk every shot. I have gotten locked in on a run a couple of times and I realized I only chalked once or twice with this chalk. I did not miscue. I have tried many of the pricier chalks and I put this in a class with those. The price makes it even more attractive. I have been giving out cubes of this chalk to some of the players in my league and they like it too. With this now available I see no reason to buy the super overpriced stuff.
