What Does a Pool Cue Extension Do?
A cue extension screws onto the butt end of your cue, adding a few inches of length so you can comfortably reach shots that would otherwise require a mechanical bridge. It's most useful when a ball sits near the rail on the opposite side of the table from your position, or in tighter rooms where a full bridge isn't practical. It's not a permanent cue modification — most players screw it on only for the specific shot that needs it, then remove it.

How Do I Install a QR2 Extension?
Installing a QR2 Extension takes three steps: remove your cue's existing rubber bumper, install the Uni-Loc QR2 Extension bumper using a standard 6mm Allen wrench, and twist on the QR2 Extension handle — a single turn locks it in place. Where Is the Bumper on My QR2 Extension, and How Do I Install It?
Predator QR2 extensions ship with the bumper already screwed onto the extension, arriving together in a protective sleeve.
- To remove the bumper: Grip the black threaded section and unscrew it counterclockwise to detach it from the extension shaft. Once removed, you'll see the stainless steel bullet pin underneath — this is normal and is what the bumper threads onto.

Can I Use the Same Bumper Across Different Extension Lengths?
No — the bumper bore differs by extension length, so a 3" extension's bumper won't interchange with an 8" or 12" extension. If you want to switch between lengths for different shots, you'll need a bumper matched to each extension you own.
