Recently got a new Predator Cue, the PURE was on sale so I grabbed a medium piece. Take it from me who has ALLLLLLLLL the chalks out there, the cheap, middle cost, and the high high end $40 dollars a piece stuff. Not going to name brand names, but al the big hitters.
This is good chalk, applies nicely coverage is great, last a long while, grip is great. Seems cleaner too, which is one of my must haves. I hate a dirty chalk.
On sale @$20 a piece I recommend 100%, not sure I would at full $30 price.
$20 in my opinion is appropriate (ish) seems like going rate for premium chalk.
I would use the OG industry standard on every pool table in the US .50 cents a cube if it wasn't so darn DIRTY, because it plays great, but cannot stand the filth.
If you want a boogie piece of chalk, this is a great choice, I like the shape also, the fancy round ones fall and roll everywhere.
I have used Predator chalk for several years but decided to give the Pure a try. It’s really great. I don’t have to chalk after every one or two shots, instead it’s every 5 or 6 shots; or even more shots. My only problem is finding a protective case for my Pure chalk!
Quality
I bought a 3 pack when they first came out over a year ago. It doesn't leave chalk residue on the cue ball, and I have to chalk my cue every other rack. I'm still using the first of the three that I bought over a year ago! I recommend this product and use it everyday. I shoot on three different teams weekly, so I use it more than frequently.
I was skeptical about using high end chalk. The Predator Pure performance chalk changed my mind. Super clean chalk. Holds great. Clings to the tip and will last for a good while before needing to chalk again. Bigger size feels good in the hand and seems like it will last quite a while. Which is good because it is pricey but definitely worth it. Replacing all my old chalk with Pure chalk from now on. Definitely recommend giving it a try.
Bought the medium chalk and loved it! Sticks perfectly onto the tip and no mess when hitting the cue ball! Way better than most chalks out there and totally should try if you have the budget!
I like the medium chalk but I haven’t tried the soft yet.
