BK-Hybrid Tip Questions
Yes. The BK-Hybrid tip is built from multiple layers, and shedding a layer as it wears — rather than wearing down as one solid piece — is how it's designed to work.
Scuff, shape, and burnish it as needed, aiming for a dime radius. Do this whenever a layer wears through and exposes the one beneath it.
There's no fixed interval — it depends on how much you break. Reshape whenever you notice the crown flattening or a layer's edge becoming exposed.
Contact us before doing so — reach out when you're ready for a new tip and we can walk you through the correct process for your BK-R break shaft.
No. This is specific to the tip's layered construction, not an issue with the shaft or cue itself.
