Predator 9-Foot Apex Pool Table Installation and Recloth Instructions
The Predator Apex 9-Foot is a professional-size tournament table, and correct assembly — especially slate leveling and cloth installation — directly affects how it plays. Follow the five steps below in order, using the video for each stage.
Frame and Legs Assembly
Start by assembling the table frame and attaching the legs before the slate goes on. This step sets the foundation for accurate slate leveling in the next stage.
Table Slate and Slate Leveling
With the frame in place, position the slate panels and level each one carefully — this is the step that determines how true the ball roll will be for the life of the table. Take your time here; small gaps or unevenness now will show up in play later.
Cloth Bed Installation
Once the slate is level, stretch and secure the cloth over the bed surface. A tight, even installation here is what gives the table its final playing feel.
Table Skirt Assembly
With the bed complete, attach the skirt panels around the table frame to finish the body and give the table its finished look.
Rail Recloth
Finally, install the cloth on the rails to match the bed. Getting the rail cloth tight and properly seated ensures consistent rail speed and bounce across the entire table.
